Position: Community Improvement project – Short Term (Community Clean Up)

Accountability:

The employee will be accountable to the person who in turn is accountable to the Chief and Council.

Job Summary: Pabineau First Nation seeks individuals for creating vibrant, safe, and thriving neighborhoods. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Direct Supervision and Communication:

  • You’ll work directly under the guidance of your immediate supervisor, who will oversee your tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed.

  • If you have any concerns or need clarification, direct communication with the Project Supervisor is encouraged.

Community Clean-Up and Maintenance:

  • Maintaining community sites is crucial. Regular clean-up ensures a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.

  • Specific areas like walkways and parking lots for employee and public safety at PFN Band Offices, Community Hall, garage, Health Center, and other community sites.

Seasonal Responsibilities:

  • During seasonal months, your duties expand to include community clean up, community pow-wow and safety measures: 

    • Clearing doorways and walkways and parking lots for employee and public safety.

    • This applies to PFN Band Offices, Community Hall, garage, Health Center, and all emergency exits.

    • Additional areas may be addressed as needed.

    • Assist with community pow-wow.

Doorway Safety:

  • Ensuring all doorways inside and outside the buildings are clear and safe for entry and exit is essential.

Assisting Community Elders:

  • During seasonal months, you’ll also assist designated Community Elders: 

    • Clearing their doorways, walkways, and ensuring safety around heat pumps, garbage, and recycling bins.

Qualifications:

  • Preferential consideration for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent relevant experience. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Valid driver’s licenses

  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.

  • Working in all weather conditions. 

Wages: to be discussed during interviews
