Event Invitation: Second-Generation Cut-Off Meeting

Date: Thursday, March 20th
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Pabineau Health Center
For: Community Band Members Only
Lunch: Provided

We invite Pabineau First Nation community band members to join us for an important meeting about the Second-Generation Cut-Off and how it is affecting you and your family.

This meeting will provide a space for open discussion about the impact of the Second-Generation Cut-Off rule, which limits eligibility for Indian status for the children of non-status individuals. It’s a critical issue for our community, and your voice and experience matter.

Let’s come together to share how this policy affects us, and discuss ways we can advocate for change. Together, we can work toward ensuring that our future generations are not excluded from the rights and status that are theirs by heritage.

Lunch will be provided, so come ready to share your thoughts and have your questions answered.

We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your perspectives!

Healing Week - Men's Group

Men’s Group

The group aims to bring men together to discuss the often overlooked and complex topic of what it means to "be a man". Often times, men are told to "man up" which can cause anger, confusion, and distress. During our Mask You Live In activity, we'll explore what we as men choose to show others on a daily basis but also what it is that we're hiding. We'll discuss the pros and cons of wearing these masks and seek ways to better understand just what it can mean to "be a man". No artistic skills are required and the group is a share what you want format.
