Pelvic Floor Anatomy Workshop: A Success and a Step Toward Empowerment
We were thrilled to host the Pelvic Floor Anatomy Workshop at the Pabineau Health Center on March 10th, 2025, with Nadia Kenny, a skilled physiotherapist with a Master’s from the University of Ottawa, leading the session. Nadia’s expertise, paired with her warm and engaging teaching style, made the workshop an invaluable experience for all attendees.
With 5+ attendees, the session provided an intimate setting for learning about pelvic floor anatomy and the ways physiotherapy can address pelvic conditions such as incontinence, pain, prolapse, and sexual dysfunction. Attendees were educated on the pelvic floor’s crucial function, simple exercises to assess pelvic activation, and treatment options available through physiotherapy.
What attendees had to say: After the workshop, we distributed a questionnaire, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Every single respondent rated the workshop a perfect 10/10, and they expressed interest in seeing Nadia return for additional education and possibly exploring services in the future. It’s clear that Nadia made a lasting impression, and the community is eager to learn more from her.
What was covered:
Pelvic Floor Anatomy & Function
How Muscle Weakness or Tension Affects Daily Life
Simple Exercises to Assess Pelvic Activation
Treatment Options with Physiotherapy
This workshop truly helped attendees better understand the importance of pelvic health, and many felt empowered to take charge of their well-being.
A big thank you to Nadia for her insightful and engaging workshop, and to everyone who joined us. We’re already looking forward to future workshops and exploring the potential for offering ongoing services to support our community’s pelvic health.
Stay tuned for more updates, and if you missed this session or are interested in attending future workshops with Nadia, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
