Grand Opening of Harvey’s
Celebrating the Grand Opening of Harvey’s at the Pabineau First Nation Gas Bar
Pabineau First Nation is proud to celebrate the grand opening of Harvey’s at our gas bar, a monumental event that marks another milestone in our journey toward economic growth and community development. This exciting addition is more than just a new restaurant; it’s a testament to the power of collaboration, vision, and determination.
A Memorable Day with Community Leaders and Partners
The grand opening was a vibrant event, bringing together leaders and supporters from across the region. Councillor Jim Richardson, who leads Economic Development initiatives, expressed gratitude for the incredible turnout. The event welcomed Mayors and Councillors from Bathurst, Belle Baie, Belledune, and Dalhousie, as well as Deputy Premier René Legacy. Representatives from Harvey’s, including the CEO and other officials, were also in attendance and left thoroughly impressed by the strong sense of community and the flawless execution of the opening day.
“It was a great opening with a wonderful turnout,” said Councillor Richardson. “A great day for sales, as well.”
Record-Breaking Sales
The opening day of Harvey’s was nothing short of historic. At closing, the location achieved over $10,000 in sales, earning the title of the top-selling Harvey’s in all of Canada for the day. This extraordinary accomplishment highlights the enthusiasm and support of the community, as well as the potential of this new venture to contribute to Pabineau First Nation’s economic success.
Councillor Richardson shared his excitement about the day’s success, while also acknowledging the importance of maintaining sustainable growth:
“At closing yesterday, we achieved a bit over $10k in sales. We were the top-selling Harvey’s in all of Canada. I expect sales to slow down a bit now to more normal but profitable levels.”
Building a Thriving Economic Future
The addition of Harvey’s to the Pabineau First Nation gas bar is part of a broader strategy to foster economic opportunities and create lasting benefits for the community. This venture not only provides local employment but also enhances the services available to residents and visitors alike. The presence of a well-known and trusted brand like Harvey’s demonstrates Pabineau’s ability to attract high-caliber partnerships while building a strong foundation for future projects.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead
Pabineau First Nation would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this grand opening a success—our leaders, partners, community members, and the Harvey’s team. This achievement reflects the spirit of unity and resilience that defines our community.
As we move forward, we are excited to continue building a prosperous future for Pabineau First Nation, with Harvey’s at the gas bar serving as a shining example of what we can accomplish together.
