đ We will begin with an Opening Prayer, led by the venerable ELDER PHYLLIS IGNACZ. Following this, prepare to be enchanted by the rhythmic beats of the PABINEAU DRUM GROUP.
đ¤ Our distinguished Guest Speaker, CONSTANCE SEWELL - KNOWLEDGE KEEPER, will then guide us through an inspiring journey. She will delve into the significance of the eagle feather, a symbol of strength, courage, and freedom. Sweetgrass, a sacred plant cherished in various cultures, will be explored for its deep-rooted medicinal, spiritual, and cultural properties. The art of braiding sweetgrass, signifying unity, healing awareness, and the beauty of shared culture, will be a focal point of her enlightening talk. The eagle feather's teachings and the act of braiding sweetgrass come together as a symbol of reconciliation, hope, and the power of interconnectedness.
This workshop is a testament to our commitment to promoting self-reflection, understanding, and forgiveness while celebrating the richness of our shared humanity.
