This First chunk of the year has flown by. The Health Center is pleased to share a few of the numerous events we have planned, organized and participated in. We just finished our annual Magic Mountain trip. Getting out together as a community is such a delight and a fantastic way for us to connect.
Our Annual Pow Wow was a huge success with an approximate attendance of 1500 people per day. We were grateful to see our community, enjoy our culture and embrace our ancestry. We were able to cook and serve the feast. For the children at the event, our team served fruits and water on the grounds.
This season has brought a lot of great people to the Community Wellness Garden. It is such an enriching experience to plant seeds and spend time tending to our garden as a community. Longhouse is known as Mawiomi is a place for gatherings.
We hosted an event to raise awareness and support for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
