Health Director Patricia Roy

Patricia Roy first began working for the Pabineau First Nation in 2001, when she was hired by Chief and Council as a part-time Home & Community Care Nurse/Coordinator. In 2003, Pat began working as the Community Health Nurse and in 2006 became the Pabineau First Nation’s Health Director.  Patricia presently works for the Pabineau First Nation in all three capacities.

  • 1985-2002 -Developed and managed Sexual Health Services (Department of Health Program), NBCC Campus
  • 2002-present – Health Director/Community Health Nurse/Home & Community Care Coordinator Pabineau First Nation

  • 2002 - NB Department of Health Leadership Award for Women’s Health in Atlantic Canada (Department of Health Certificate and Bronze Statuette by NS artist)
  • 2013 - Patricia was featured in the Summer 2013 Community Health Nurses of Canada News Edition as the “Celebration of a Nurse who has been a Leading Force for Change.”
  • 2013 – Health Canada recognition “Beyond the Call of Duty” award presented by Debra Keays-White, Regional Director General, FNIHB Atlantic/DGSPNI at the Annual Atlantic First Nation Nurses Conference in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. (Award Certificate and Native art)
