Pabineau First Nation Has Achieved Primer Accreditation Status

The Health Center built in 2010-2011 became a hub of health directed services since its inauguration on August 15th 2011. The Health Staff have been supported by Health Canada, the Chief and Council, the Pabineau First Nation community to provide inclusive health services to its members through Health Promotion activities, a multi-faceted Community Health program and basic Home Care provisions for its community members.  In some cases, health services when available are also provided to off community people.

On May 1st Accreditation Canada granted us the Accreditation Primer Status.

This “accreditation” is a process that uses National Standards of Excellence to enable organizations to improve the quality and safety of their services.

The primer standards are divided into nine sections:

  1. Leadership
  2. Client Safety
  3. Quality Improvement
  4. Safe and Healthy Work life
  5. Information Management
  6. Physical Environment
  7. Medication Management
  8. Infection Prevention
  9. Safe and Appropriate Service Delivery.
